We are a Southern Baptist Church, as a church we hold to the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 as our statement of our beliefs and practice as a church. You can read the full statement here, however below you can read a summary of our core beliefs:
Bible: The Bible is God's inspired, inerrant word, the sole authority for faith and practice.
God: There is only one God made known to us in three persons (Trinity): Father, Son (Jesus Christ), and Holy Spirit.
The Father: He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.
Jesus Christ: The eternal Son of God, His death and resurrection offer salvation.
Holy Spirit: Calls us to salvation, cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, bestows the spiritual gifts to every believer for their service in the church and seals the believer until the day of final redemption.
Humanity: Created in God's image but fallen into sin.
Salvation: Through God's grace, by faith in Jesus Christ, not by works.
Church: A fellowship of autonomous, local congregations that are largely self-governing, though they voluntarily cooperate.
Baptism: Immersion of believers in water, symbolizing death to sin and new life in Christ; a public declaration of faith, not a means of salvation itself.
Lord's Supper: A symbolic memorial of Christ's death, celebrated by those who have trusted Christ as Lord and Savior.
Missions & Evangelism: A strong focus on spreading the Gospel locally and globally
End Times: Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory to the earth; the dead will be raised; and Christ will judge all men in righteousness. The unrighteous will be consigned to Hell, the place of everlasting punishment. The righteous in their resurrected and glorified bodies will receive their reward and will dwell forever in Heaven with the Lord.
The Family: God has ordained the family as the foundational institution of human society. It is composed of persons related to one another by marriage, blood, or adoption. Marriage is the uniting of one man and one woman in covenant commitment for a lifetime. Children, from the moment of conception, are a blessing and heritage from the Lord.
